Spa of the Future

In conjunction with our mission to provide our residents with quality care in a safe and comfortable environment, we are introducing a new way of caring for our seniors and investing in their quality of life.  At Marwood, we don’t want our residents to feel like they’ve ever left home.  We want them to have choices, to feel empowered, to have security and privacy, and most of all we want them to be comfortable. 

To provide an environment of comfort, we need to make some very necessary changes.  As part of our upcoming renovations, we want to include the addition of several  spa areas for our residents to rejuvenate and relax.  This calming oasis will not only offer our residents a chance to be pampered but will also provide therapeutic benefits. The word spa is derived from Latin “salus per aquam”, which means health by water. Past medical studies reveal that spa therapy may be helpful in treating aliments such as arthritis, diabetes, lower back pain, and sleep disorders.  Additionally, spa treatments can help reduce high blood pressure, lower stress levels, help fight fatigue, promote circulation, and soothe tired muscles. 

The newly constructed spas will be equipped with a whirlpool bath and walk-in shower, a cozy fireplace, ceramic tile floors, a flat screen television, an aroma therapy station, surround sound stereo equipment for music therapy, controlled lighting features, and plush heated towels. 

At Marwood, we want to offer this luxurious benefit to our residents now and in the future.  To transform our common shower facilities into opulent spas, we need your help.  With your support this year, we will continue to pursue our drive to offer the next generation of seniors the care they deserve in a place they will want to call home.
