Marwood Nursing and Rehab offers volunteer opportunities seven days a week to those who wish to assist others. We welcome individuals, students, families, and groups. Children under the age of fourteen must be accompanied by an adult. Volunteer when it is convenient for you and help make a difference in the life of a senior while serving your community. No commitment is too small!
Volunteers are needed for:
- Holidays and Special Events: assist the activities staff in setting up events or in transporting resident by wheelchair to and from special functions
- Activities: participate in group activities, provide companionship, play cards or games, or read book or magazines to residents.
- Arts and Crafts: Participate in arts and crafts and assist residents in artistic group activities
- Pet Visits: bring a suitable pet to visit residents
- Resident Outings: be a companion for residents during a community outing
- Transport: assist staff in transporting residents to and from select activities, rehabilitation, as well as in-house services
- Clerical: assist with filing, data entry, mailings, and more.
