Bridgeport is a 48-bed secure unit designed to meet specific needs of individuals with Alzheimer’s and Dementia. The unit is designed to create a familiar and reliable setting that provides stability, structure and stimulation to enable residents to function at their maximum level. Bridgeport places a strong emphasis on quality of life and individual right to personal dignity, privacy, self-esteem and the sense of being accepted and valued.

• Level floor surfaces with no stairs or steps
• One-on-one family support with specialized care team
• Coordination of care with on staff geriatric psychiatrist

• Cozy kitchen with cooking programs for sensory stimulation
• Secure entrance/exit to prevent wandering

 Hospice Services 

Hospice services are designed to offer additional care and comfort to terminally ill residents in the final stages of their life. Offered in any one of the nursing units at Marwood, hospice professionals partner with Marwood staff to provide palliative care for residents, support and counseling for residents and their families in addition to spiritual care services.
